Just re-found this thread and realised I forgot to report back! According to my dealer, the oil is not scheduled to be changed anywhere in the manual and the boxes are sealed for life! I had the oil changed anyway. The oil was pretty disgusting. I would recommend getting the oil changed to anybody w...

My last (very last, never to be repeated, won't go back ever again!) dealer service was $AU1,800 for the 80,000km service. I'd already done the cambelt change, so this was just a bit rich in my opinion. Recently, I tracked down a specialist non dealer service centre. They specialise in French cars. ...

Well I rang my dealer and discovered that an oil change for the gearbox is not something that is not part of any scheduled service.

I plan to get it done at the next service and recommend everyone should do the same on a regular basis.

Thanks for that info.

That's a relief! I should probably go look for the manual. I never even thought to look for it. :sorry: I just went straight to my pc.

My gearbox has gotten quite notchy. I was hoping an oil change might sort this out, but maybe the dealers been doing it anyway.

Hi All, I was wondering if anyone knew if the manual gearbox in a 2.0L car is meant to be sealed for life. Down here there's been a lot of discussion about failure in PSA sealed for life boxes - mostly automatics. Basically, the general consensus is to change the oil regardless of what the manufactu...

I've still got my CC! It's done 60,000 clicks now. The car's still fine. Does everything I need it to do. There've really been no problems with it. The thing with me is I bought another car which has completely absorbed me so nowadays the CC is just for getting me from A to B and back again. ...

Has your roof got two plastic moldings that run front to back on each side of the roof ?

Mine's totally smooth it and seems like the rain just runs off the roof and forms a pool on my seat just before I jump in.

The latest series CC has new moldings that theoretically stop (or slow) all the rain water from running off the roof and straight onto your seat when you get into the car. I just got a price from the dealer to add these onto my MY04 and was dumbfounded to say the least. These little strips are $AU36...

No, I don't think it's anything like a leak in the system cos the next day everything is back to normal. This once about two years ago, but has happened twice in the last two weeks - just as we're coming into Winter! The A/C just doesn't seem to have a clue what the temperature in the cabin ...

My air-conditioning, intermittently, but more recently, a lot more frequently, fails to deliver the temperature selected. The worst occasion was a night time trip through the country (between Sydney & Melbourne). It was 7 degrees outside and my air conditioning decided the cabin needed to be coo...

 WARNING: Don't 'accidentally' turn the key off whilst closing (or opening) the roof. That's enough to stuff the system. No amount of disconnecting and reconnecting the battery made any difference. I did this during my first week of ownership. The dealer kindly sorted it out free of charge. :D

Water's getting in somehow. I imagine you'll have to get the whole unit out, remove the front plastic cover and re-seal it. I had a similar thing happen to my fog lamp, but fortunately the dealer replaced it under warranty.

If your girlfriend's car is green, I'd get green. Try to find the paint code on her car without her knowing. The paint shop will mix it up exactly if you give them the right code! :-) Otherwise you may as well leave it whatever colour it is to start with. It's not hard to repaint a model, but if you...

Sorry, but I'm sure it would be a very costly exercise to send a model to Sydney for painting and definitely not necessary. :P Seriously though, its fairly straight forward. Go to an auto paint shop and get them to mix up the paint and put it in one of those aerosol cans or buy a small quantity (les...

I have a 1/18 by GATE. Great attention to detail and complete with opening doors, bonnet, roof (up or down) and turning front wheels. Only thing is I couldn't say what other colours they come in (mine's blue). By the way, it's not too hard to repaint a model if you're keen. I recently stripped, prim...
