I'm not sure what the law is, but I think you can only reject faulty goods within 6 or 12 months at the most so you're out of luck there. In all seriousness I remember my driving instructor telling me that there was no evidence one way or the other that speeding or drink driving was the cause of an adverse number of car accidents. He said the reason that the government was so hot on it was due to the alarming number of road accidents...

I can vaguely remember this topic being discussed before and I think it was so that people can't access your boot by unlocking the car form the red button or door locks when the roof is down.
