Re: New key body - new and weird problem
Hi, congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum. You'll find many intelligent and knowledgable people here, all willing to help out. I'm not one of those people unfortunately, (well, apart from the helping out bit) but I've just had key issues and got it sorted with the help of the forum member...

New key body - new and weird problem
Hi all. Bought a new key body. My old key's buttons were knackered - pushed through. So, this new key was simply two halfs, front and back. Front half has buttons, rear half has the Pug emblem. There were no insides nor was there a key blade. So all I had to do was transfer the circuit board and bla...

Draper, got to admit summat here though relating to mpg. That day I talked about in my first post where I "checked out the dynamic handling" for a bit. I did a two mile journey in 'Boy racer on Asda car park mode' and posted 14mpg, took a mil of the fronts and had the block ticking like a ...

Re: BSI Reset & Battery Disconnection Methods
Guys, take Capncols wise words very seriously. If not heeded it can cost you, bad. I had a blown interior light fuse. On checking if it was the bulb I noticed a frayed wire in the bulb assembly connector. Decided to fix it, just in case it came loose in the future and shorted. Since the interior lig...

Re: Rear NSR lens change
Hi, Grandadmonkey mentions locating pins, and rightly so. There are two on each cluster. One is fairly central and pretty robust. The other though is right at the end of the part of the light that curls away from you if you are holding the cluster with the bulbs facing you. The part of the light tha...

Mpg - its easy given the type of journey I do. 100 miles a day, 96 on the motorway, 6 days a week, not very fast? If I don't do owt on the 7th day Bob yer uncle. I'm under no illusion though, when the weather picks up and we go out and about it'll drop massively, I've already started saving up for t...

Re: New owner - read all this, if you can. Or want to
Prices vary with how much you want done. If you get the whole wheel stripped, skimmed, painted and lacquered they look brand new but can cost neary as much as a new set. +400 quid. But if it's just the tyre rim that's damaged it can be sorted for about £50 a wheel if you use a mobile service or as l...

My Extreme Cleaning Regime (Mostly External)
Hi all. I've always found that results depend very much on investment. Mostly time investment but some financial investment too. My regime is this. 2 or 3 times a year I'll do a deep clean.....Dont polish or wax for a week or so than do a wash as normal. Next I'll clay it, then I'll use T-Cut paint ...

Re: New owner - read all this, if you can. Or want to
Thanks for replies guys. The rather freaky but nether-the-less magical, sunny weather a couple of weeks ago (We scraped 23 degrees up here in Warrington) allowed me to get the top down for a a few days and you're absolutely right, all the things that are wrong that wind me up, suddenly didn't wind m...

Hey guys. Bought a 02, 2.0litre, silver CC three weeks ago. It has 85k on the clock and if I'm honest it does look like its a 10 year old car that's gone round the Earth 3 times. Has a small dent and some obvious lost car park battles. That said its not in too bad a shape, you wouldn't look at it an...
